1. Who we are

This website (zurocars.com) is operated by Veretennikov Ilia Sergeevich, hereinafter referred to as "ZURO Cars", "we", "us". Contact for data-related matters: [email protected], WhatsApp +381 63 821 8532.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the service:

  • Data you give us directly — when you write to us on WhatsApp, Telegram, or by email. Typically: your name, phone number, rental dates, pick-up/drop-off location, and any additional details you share.
  • Data collected automatically — via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel, if you have consented to analytics cookies. This includes: IP address (anonymised), browser type, device type, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location (country/city), and time spent on site. Meta Pixel also tracks interactions with our investor landing pages to measure advertising effectiveness.
  • Data from Google Maps / reviews — if you publicly leave a review on our Google Business profile, that data is visible to us and to the public, governed by Google's terms.

3. Why we process your data

  • To respond to your rental enquiries and provide the service (legal basis: contract / pre-contractual steps at your request).
  • To comply with legal obligations, including accounting and tax requirements under Serbian law (legal basis: legal obligation).
  • To improve our website and marketing, based on aggregated, anonymised traffic data (legal basis: your consent).

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses two types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function (e.g. remembering your language preference or cookie consent choice). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — used to understand how visitors use the site. Activated only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or contacting us.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Google LLC — for anonymised analytics data, if you consented.
  • Meta Platforms Inc. (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram) — if you contact us through WhatsApp, their terms apply. We also use Meta Pixel on our website for advertising analytics.
  • Serbian authorities — only when legally required (e.g. police investigation, tax audit).

6. How long we keep your data

  • Contact messages: up to 2 years after your last interaction, then deleted.
  • Rental contracts and invoices: 5 years, as required by Serbian tax law.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.

7. Your rights (under GDPR and Serbian law)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured format
  • Lodge a complaint with the Serbian Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs)

8. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted via our website. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) employs enterprise-grade security. We do not store payment card information on our servers — all transactions happen in person or via trusted third-party providers.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers (Google, Meta) are based in the United States. They comply with the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and provide adequate safeguards for international data transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. We encourage you to review it periodically.
